Turkey and Avocado Club Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 3-4 slices of cooked turkey breast
  • 2-3 slices of crispy bacon
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • 2-3 slices of tomato
  • 1 leaf of lettuce (Romaine or Iceberg)
  • 1 slice of cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
  • Mayonnaise (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)


  • Instructions:

    1. Toast the bread:

      • Lightly toast the slices of bread to your preferred level of crispness.
    2. Prepare the Spread:

      • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one slice of bread and mustard on the other slice if you like a bit of tang. You can skip this step or use your favorite spread.
    3. Layer the ingredients:

      • Start with the lettuce: Place a leaf of lettuce on the bottom slice of bread.
      • Add the turkey: Layer the slices of turkey breast evenly on top of the lettuce.
      • Top with Cheese: Place a slice of cheese over the turkey.
      • Add the Bacon: Arrange the crispy bacon slices over the cheese.
      • Tomato and Avocado: Layer the tomato slices on top, then add the avocado slices. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the avocado to enhance the flavor.
    4. Finish the sandwich:

      • Place the second slice of bread on top, with the spread side down.
    5. Cut and Serve:

      • If you prefer, cut the sandwich in half or into quarters to make it easier to eat. Serve with your favorite side dish, like chips, a salad, or a pickle.
